Discover the secret to healthy, shiny, and strong hair with expert diet tips by Dietician Shreya from Dietician Shreya Diet Clinic, Ahmedabad. Call +91 9687563126 for personalized hair health diet plans.

Do you dream of thick, shiny, and strong hair? The secret lies not only in your hair care routine but also in what’s on your plate! As a certified dietician with years of experience at Dietician Shreya Diet Clinic in Ahmedabad, I’ve helped more than 20k of clients transform their hair health through simple dietary changes.

Let me walk you through 7 expert diet tips that can help you achieve healthy, luscious hair naturally!

1. Protein is the Building Block

Your hair is made of keratin—a type of protein. A protein-rich diet promotes hair growth and strength. Include:

  • Paneer, tofu, and dals

  • Greek yogurt and low-fat milk

  • Nuts, seeds, and legumes

2. Iron = Hair Oxygen

Iron boosts blood circulation to hair follicles, ensuring healthy growth. Iron deficiency can lead to hair fall.

  • Eat spinach, methi, and kale

  • Include jaggery, dates, and lentils

  • Pair with Vitamin C (like amla or lemon) for better absorption

3. Omega-3 for Shine & Scalp Health

Omega-3 fatty acids nourish hair follicles, reduce dryness, and add a beautiful shine.

  • Walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds

  • Rajma (kidney beans) and soybeans

  • If needed, consider an omega-3 supplement

4. Biotin: The Hair Vitamin

Biotin deficiency often leads to hair thinning.

  • Include almonds, peanuts, and sweet potatoes

  • Eggs (if you consume them) are also a great source

  • Whole grains like brown rice and oats

5. Hydration is Key

Dehydration makes hair dry, brittle, and lifeless.

  • Drink at least 8–10 glasses of water daily

  • Add coconut water or buttermilk for electrolytes

  • Herbal teas (like hibiscus or green tea) also help

6. Zinc & Selenium for Scalp Health

These minerals keep the scalp dandruff-free and support hair strength.

  • Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and whole grains

  • Moong sprouts and legumes

  • Avoid overly processed foods that strip nutrients

7. Say No to Crash Dieting

Rapid weight loss can lead to major hair fall. Always go for sustainable, balanced diets designed by professionals.

Effect of wheat grass juice

In the world of natural health and wellness, wheatgrass juice stands out as a green powerhouse. Packed with essential nutrients and healing properties, this vibrant juice has been gaining popularity among health enthusiasts—and for good reason. From detoxification to better skin, wheatgrass juice offers a wide range of benefits for the body and mind.

In this blog, we’ll dive deep into the effects of wheatgrass juice, its nutritional value, and why adding a shot of green to your daily routine might be the health boost you need.

🌱 What is Wheatgrass Juice?

Wheatgrass is the young grass of the wheat plant (Triticum aestivum), harvested before it matures. When juiced, it becomes a concentrated source of vital nutrients, especially chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

🧬 Nutritional Profile of Wheatgrass Juice

  • Chlorophyll – acts as a natural detoxifier

  • Vitamins – rich in A, C, E, K, and B-complex

  • Minerals – calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc

  • Enzymes – support digestion and cellular repair

  • Amino acids – building blocks of protein

🌟 Top 8 Health Benefits of Wheatgrass Juice

1. Natural Detoxifier

Wheatgrass juice helps cleanse the liver and blood, flushing out heavy metals and toxins. Its high chlorophyll content enhances the body’s ability to detox naturally.

2. Boosts Immunity

The antioxidants in wheatgrass strengthen your immune system, helping the body ward off infections and reduce inflammation.

3. Improves Digestion

Wheatgrass contains enzymes that aid in the digestion of food and absorption of nutrients, easing issues like bloating, gas, and constipation.

4. Promotes Glowing Skin

Say goodbye to dull skin! The vitamins and antioxidants in wheatgrass help combat acne, pigmentation, and premature aging.

5. Increases Hemoglobin Levels

Thanks to its chlorophyll content, wheatgrass helps improve red blood cell count and can support those dealing with anemia or fatigue.

6. Aids in Weight Loss

Wheatgrass helps suppress appetite, reduce cravings, and boost metabolism, making it a helpful companion in weight management.

7. Balances Blood Sugar

Some studies suggest that wheatgrass may help regulate blood sugar levels, making it beneficial for those with diabetes or insulin resistance.

8. Alkalizes the Body

It helps balance the body’s pH levels, reducing acidity and lowering the risk of chronic inflammation and disease.

⚠️ Side Effects and Precautions

While wheatgrass is generally safe, some people may experience:

  • Nausea or headaches (detox reaction)

  • Allergic reactions in rare cases

  • Mild digestive issues if consumed in excess

Tip: Start with a small dose (15–30 ml per day) and gradually increase.

🕒 Best Time to Drink Wheatgrass Juice

For maximum absorption and benefits, drink wheatgrass juice:

  • On an empty stomach, early in the morning

  • 20–30 minutes before meals

You can also combine it with aloe vera juice or lemon water for added detox support.

🥤 How to Include Wheatgrass in Your Diet

  • Freshly juiced wheatgrass shots (ideal)

  • Wheatgrass powder mixed with water or smoothies

  • Ready-to-drink wheatgrass juice (check for pure, organic varieties)

Final Thoughts

Wheatgrass juice isn’t just a trendy health drink—it’s a natural remedy with the power to transform your health from the inside out. Whether you're looking to detox, boost energy, improve skin, or support digestion, this green elixir can be your daily dose of wellness.

    ☀️ Introduction:

Ahmedabad’s summers can be harsh—and they don’t just affect your skin or mood. Excess heat can lead to dehydration, acidity, bloating, skin breakouts, and even fatigue. But here's some spicy news—certain traditional Indian spices are natural body coolants!

As a practicing dietician in Ahmedabad, I often recommend cooling spices to balance body heat and improve digestion during hot weather. Let’s explore my top 7 summer-friendly spices that not only cool you down but also boost your immunity and metabolism.
